Vic: New Fair Go campaign launched in Melb
A campaign challenging federal government policies which affect health, housing andeducation is being launched in Melbourne today.
The Fair Go group -- compromising community groups, churches, unions and environmentalbodies -- is demanding improved social and working conditions for all Australians.
Victorian Council of Social Services director CATH SMITH says it's time state and federalgovernments did something to create a fairer Australia.
Victorian Trades Hall Council Secretary LEIGH HUBBARD says the undermining of universalaccess to services such as health and education, the attacks on workers' industrial rightsand the increasing gap between rich and poor is not acceptable.
